About Dr. Wiggins
Dr. Wiggins has lived in the Marquette area for over 20 years. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Daniel, and their two children. For fun, she likes to run, and participate in racquetball, softball, and volleyball as well as assistant coaching at the local high school and Articatz volleyball programs. She came to Marquette on a volleyball scholarship to Northern Michigan University, fell in love with the area and her husband, and they can choose no better place to raise their family.
Dr. Cynthia Wiggins received a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Northern Michigan University in 1988, Cum Laude. She returned to graduate school in 1992 at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and in 1996 she completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery, (DDS), degree.
Dr. Wiggins was awarded the Alpha Omega Scholarship Award for Highest Academic Achievement upon graduation. She also received the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Award, Academy of Periodontology Award for Excellence in Periodontal Diagnosis and Treatment, the Comprehensive Care Award, AG Richard Award for Excellence in Radiography, Delta Sigma Delta Award for Academic Achievement, the WT Dempster Award for Excellence in Gross Anatomyand was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society for General Dentistry.
Dr. Wiggins has achieved Fellowship eligibility status with the Academy of General Dentistry for her continuing education studies, with over 600 hours at this time, and is an active member in the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, is a Founding Member of the Dental Organization for Sleep Apnea, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She also maintains her membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society for Dentists and Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternities.
